Ingrid’s Hall of Fame award was announced at the APIRA Auckland 2019 conference dinner. The award recognises Ingrid’s contribution to the interdisciplinary accounting research community, and her service as an Associate Editor of the AAAJ for a number of years.
The interdisciplinary movement in accounting research has now become well-established, with literature that reflects several decades of the research community’s methodological and theoretical experience and development.
The Accounting, Auditing, and Accountability Journal (AAAJ) and the Asia-Pacific Interdisciplinary Research in Accounting (APIRA) conferences are part of a number of research outlets associated with the interdisciplinary accounting research journey.
As part of this journey, the AAAJ established the Interdisciplinary Accounting Research Hall of Fame award. The award is announced every three years and is intended to honour those who have contributed to the success of the AAAJ and the APIRA conference.
Those chosen for the award are recognised for their distinguished service contributions to the progress of interdisciplinary accounting research. A member must have reached a position of eminence from which the nature of their contributions may be judged.
